Welcome to History 1010 (9B): Modern World Civilizations!  I'm glad you have decided to take this class.

If you have not done it already, you must register for the class at the College of the Siskiyous Admissions and Records Office.


Course Description:

World Civilizations Since 1450 will explore the history of the world civilizations since contact between europe and the Americas. Students will be asked to explore the interactions of technology, culture, religion, warfare, environment and politics as they traverse the histories of various civilizations, including Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. Students will then be asked to place the histories of these civilizations into a global context. An emphasis will be placed on student interaction and the exploration of primary source materials. (AA, CSU, UC)

Class assignments begin on the first day of the semester, so make sure you access the Etudes class website on the first day of the semester for instructions on how to get started.
